The Southend Band's HUGELY popular CAROLS IN THE PARK event celebrates it's 13th Anniversary this year, on Sunday 20th December at 2pm. This wonderful singalong has, since its inception, attracted record Priory Park Bandstand crowds. Year in year out, whatever the weather, Christmas revellers muffle up and, with hot flasks, woolly hats and blankets, rock up ready to participate in the magical atmosphere conjured up by the town brass band. Santa usually puts in an appearance, armed with a sackful of goodies to reward the ad-hoc children's choir and the Band enter into the spirit by dressing up as Dickensian characters. Admission is free and song sheets will be provided. Chairs however are always in short supply, so bring one if you are able.
Incidentally, there is limited parking in Priory Park so best walk in, if you are able.
Bring your whole family – the real Christmas starts here!
